Business brightens up!

Hi there!

We hope that you have had a safe and prosperous Diwali 2021! It’s been a busy festive period this year; the consumer mood has been upbeat, with lots of revenge spending and travel witnessed.

MMRDA has led various green initiatives for the Mumbai metropolitan region. To add a feather, MMRDA invested in a landmark urban beautification and landscaping project at the Bandra Kalanagar junction. It will be one of the firsts in India and go a long way in paving the approach for other similar initiatives. So, while Outdoor has been accused of defacing the city, it’s welcome to see MMRDA’s approach in using out of home signage to beautify the city.

As we gear towards the year end, let’s party hard but also conscientiously wear our masks and follow social distancing norms! Gratitude again to our healthcare fraternity, and essential services personnel for bringing us back to normalcy!

Consumer Confidence Index surged by 1.9 percentage points in October
Refinitiv-Ipsos India Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI) Report

Consumer confidence of Urban Indians has further improved in October, and has surged by 1.9 percentage points over September, according to the Refinitiv-Ipsos India Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI).

"Consumer Confidence has improved in October and notably in the two key areas of personal finances and investments for the future. This augurs well for the festival season as consumers do not feel strapped for funds to splurge and enjoy the festival time. Confidence around the economy has seen a minor uptick and it's understandable as the economy will take a longer time to repair and recover, due to the long-term impact of the pandemic," said Amit Adarkar, CEO, Ipsos India.
