Time for festivities!

Hi folks,

It’s that time of the year again! And if we think of it – already, isn’t it! After the past two and half years of unprecedented change, the sense of positivity across most business circles is tangible. Indian markets continue to perform, albeit with the usual spikes and downturns.

As per leading publications including the Financial Express, Barclays believes that India’s economy stands out as an outlier, benefiting from enhanced food security, deleveraged private sector balance sheets, and more. This augurs well for majority of businesses serving the Indian market. The measures taken by RBI have helped India’s economic performance, which has arguably been better than its peers, as the growth recovery has been robust while inflation has risen by much less than in other economies.

In other news, as per an article published by IndianRetailer.com, India’s retail sector is worth USD $836 billion in FY2022, with an 81.5% contribution from traditional retail, organised brick-and-mortar retail makes up 12% of the overall retail market, followed by online sales channels at 6.5%. Interestingly, Shoppers from Tier II and Tier III cities account for over 61% of the overall E-Commerce market share in FY 2022. Much higher than 53.8% in FY 2021. These cities report a growth of 92.2% and 85.2% respectively, whereas Tier I cities indicate a slower e-commerce growth rate at 47.2%.

Here's everyone from Laqshya wishing you a season filled with joyous and safe festivities.

Best wishes,

Marriott Bonvoy unveils first anamorphic 3D installation in India; bring its travel campaign ‘Here’ alive

The ‘Here’ campaign that was launched in India in August 2022, builds on Marriott Bonvoy’s global tagline “Where Can We Take You” with ‘Here’ as an expression revealing relatable moments loved by travelers. This anamorphic installation commemorates the return of travel by showcasing various videos shot both in India and other countries. The 3D installation was installed at Cyber Hub, Gurugram and Phoenix Mills (Palladium) in Mumbai.

Khushnooma Kapadia, Senior Area Director of Marketing, South Asia, Marriott International stated that as an organisation, Marriott is constantly innovating to find new-age communication vehicles customised for an audience that has the appetite to consume narratives appealing to their evolved sensibilities. “Our members are now eager to travel and get back on the road, and with this immersive activation, we want to help them discover all the places and experiences our hotels have to offer. This is an attempt to engage with our audience in a high-impact visible format with the travel content we have developed,” added Kapadia.

Sommnath Sengupta, CEO of Inventech, the company that has designed the installation, said, “The 3D DOOH format is extremely dynamic and engaging. It changes the relationship with the recipient as it is impossible to go by without noticing it. It is changing the way people interact with advertisements; it’s futuristic. With the right amalgamation of art, science, and technology, our super-skilled, experienced, passionate team has created this best-in-the-class user experience for Marriott Bonvoy TG.”
